These seeds are “open-pollinated,” meaning nature—bees, wind, and butterflies—has done the crossing for us. Unlike tubers which produce exact clones, every seed in this packet will produce a completely unique bloom that has never existed before and will never exist again.

Growing Guide

• Sowing Season: Spring (August – November)
• Position: Full sun (at least 6 hours a day)
• Soil: Well-draining soil enriched with compost
• Watering: Keep moist but not waterlogged until germination

Timeline

Dahlias grow fast. Within 12-14 weeks, you will see your first blooms. By Autumn, underground tubers will have formed, allowing you to lift and store them to replant your favourites year after year.
